Just received the qualMeter X from kickstarter. Want to ask if it is possible to directly connect the qualMeter X power to directly to an AC power socket? Will the qualMeter X overload and damage?

qualMeter is capable with DC 4.5~5.5v input, which is a typical USB 1.0/2.0/3.0 standard output. Any standard USB 1.0/2.0/3.0 powered port with minimum 1A current output can be used as qualMeter’s power source. It can be a wall charger, car charger, desk charger, power bank port, public charging station, computer USB port and others.
Tips:
If you wanted to know wether your charger’s output satisfies 1A output, you can simply plug qualMeter into the port to see the charger test result.
